Our Wollongong Psychologists come with their own special skill sets, experience and area of interest. Below is a little bit of information about each one of them.
Adrian specialises in substance use disorders, anger issues, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, stress, relationship issues, life adjustment issues. He has gained a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Since then, he has worked with a wide range of client problems using multiple approaches. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. He has previously worked with clients presenting with substance use disorders in a residential setting, along with depression, anxiety, stress, anger issues, personality disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia and bipolar. He has also worked with clients in both CBT and DBT group therapy and individual therapy sessions, where he has helped clients implement a range of evidence-based skills and strategies.

Helen's areas of speciality include Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Sleep Hygiene, Relaxation and Self-Care, Parenting strategies and Improving Communication. She started Psychology 15 years ago and has completed an undergraduate degree, postgraduate diploma, full registration as a Psychologist and has an article published in the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology. She has learned so much along the way and intends to continue learning for the rest of her life. Helen has been with Walk Different since 2015 and loves how this role has extended her!​

Monique specialises in Trauma (PTSD), Grief and loss, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management , drug and alcohol counselling and academic or work pressures. Monique is a fully registered Psychologist in NSW, a registered Medicare provider, an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Association and a Professional Member of the Blue Knot Foundation (formerly known as Adults Surviving Childhood Abuse (ASCA)). She studied her 4-year undergraduate at Wollongong University where she obtained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and completed a fifth year of study at Macquarie University where she obtained a Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology. She has also been fortunate to gain a wealth of experience in the community sector for the past 8 years where she worked in the drug and alcohol/dual diagnosis sector at rehabilitation services in the Illawarra and North Sydney regions, as well as 2 years in Nepean/Blue Mountains area working in adolescent mental health. She has also had the wonderful opportunity to work overseas in India where she mentored young Australians as they worked with local women and children to improve their lives via social business projects. She works with a variety of clients and concerns. Her current area of interest is working with the individual's mind-body connection in order to heal, grow and reconnect to a meaningful life.

Sarah specialises in depression, anxiety, stress, goal setting and motivation. She began her career in corporate psychology where she gained experience in team dynamics, workplace stress and grievances and performance management. Making a move to a more personal setting, she joined a team of experts from different fields looking to support and educate people wanting to improve their overall health, both physical and mental. This experience inspired her to view mental health treatment more holistically and brought her to Walk Different. Sarah strongly believes in the benefits of outdoor therapy and the opportunities to let go, learn and connect that come with it.
