What do you love about being outside?
"The fresh air, its less confronting and that you can engage with the senses in a range of environments that can help shift one's perspective."
What disorders do you specialise in?
"Substance use disorders, anger issues, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, stress, relationship issues, life adjustment issues."
What about your training sets you apart from the rest?
"I am quite laid back, and I like to have a practical and hands on style that focuses on the solutions to the problem. Working with a wide range of mental health issues, I like to take a holistic approach and look at the client's problems within the context of their life circumstances."
Adrian talks about his experience here:
"I have gained a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Since then, I have worked with a wide range of client problems using multiple approaches. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have previously worked with clients presenting with substance use disorders in a residential setting, along with depression, anxiety, stress, anger issues, personality disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia and bipolar. I have worked with clients in both CBT and DBT group therapy and individual therapy sessions, where I have helped clients implement a range of evidence-based skills and strategies."
